Methods of Conducting PDAs

There are only three ways to conduct damage assessments, by ground, air or by satellite. Each comes with different methods of collection and each has pros and cons, which will be outlined.

It is important for emergency managers to know there are other ways than going by ground. The other options are in reality as accurate and often quicker than going by ground. Depending on technology used, going by ground can prove to be the most accurate, but as I'll demonstrate aerial can get close or exceed the accuracy of a street level PDA.
